Subject : Problem using Motorola SM56 modem on RH 9.0
Hi Friends,
I have a problem with using my Motorala SM56 internal modem in
RedHat Linux 9.0.
I have looked into the hardware info of the RH and have seen that
the modem is recognised in one of the PCI slots(i have installed the
modem in a PCI slot)
I am giving the details of the modem in the Hardware info .which is
below

In the PCI list there are some more things. but this is the only
thing that says about modems...
I donot know what all this stuff means..but it is saying something
about SM56 modem ..
Am i guessin the right thing ??
Any help regarding this would be highly appreciated!
And i have heard that in some other versions of Linux there is a
modem configurator.Is that true ??
And also help me in knowing ...how to make a new connection if
themodem is configured and ready to use..
