Hello all,

I just discovered that xHarbour have a special case with single char
strings as been a numeric value too.

I would like to know if this feature is popular or not.
For the users of the feature, what is it usefull for ?

Dear Patrice:

Compatibility with C, for C programmers. Not in violation of the 100%
Clipper compatibility, since it would have been an error in Clipper.

This error in Clipper is the only practical way to ensure you are using
the same type of data at runtime.

Dear Patrice:

You are using a fourth generation language. Such insistence on second
generation behavior is your problem. You asked for input. You don't
have to reply.
