Tcl/Tk group @ Sun Microsystems looking for Testimonials
In July, the Sun Microsystems Home Page will feature a cover story on
Tcl/Tk. To make the July issue even more interactive, we intend
to highlight your existing Tcl applications. We would like to get
some testimonials from some of our long time users and recent adopters.
We hope your testimonials will help new users convince thier
management that Tcl/Tk is a technology they should adopt. The entire
Tcl community will benifit from useful quotes about Tcl/Tk in action.
In addition, this could be a great chance for your company to get
some great exposure. Along with your testimonial we can also include
a link to a page at your site. The Sun home page is hit a great deal
and your links will not be too far from the top.
If you believe that you have particularly compelling applications
written in Tcl, especially applications targeted at Internet/Intranet
uses, please send us the following:
* Your company / department
* The title and name of the person making the quote
* A short quote - one paragraph - giving your take on
what Tcl/Tk has done for your company
* A URL that points to a longer version of the quote,
pages describing other uses of Tcl/Tk at your company,
or just a link to your home page.

We don't promise that your quote will be used. We have limited space
and we will highlight the quotes that sound most compelling. To help
get your quote used - try to get the highest level manager you can to
provide the quote. A CEO is much better than a summer intern!
Lastly, the deadline for the Sun Home Page is rapidly approaching.
The sooner you submit testimonials the more likely they will be used.
If you think you can get a good testimonial, but need time to butter
up your boss - let us know. We might be able to help or reserve a

Oh, wounded to the core. That should read:
"try to get the highest level manager who knows diddly about coding to
provide the quote. Althoug summer interns, students and lowly software
engineers are the ones who do all the real work, a CEO is much better than a
summer intern when it comes to spewing bullshit because their ass is rarely
on the line."
