In the web site http://blt.sourceforge.net/
whenever I click on BLT 2.4z.tar.gz
I get the following message:

"The connection was refused when attempting to contact
www.sourceforge.net"

How/where can I get the Blt surce code ?

Thank you,
Maura

If you look around on their SF project page you'd find it, but here:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/blt/BLT2.4v.tar.gz

OK. Thanks to you all. I downloaded Blt. Yesterday I played alittle bit
with the Blt that comes (as rpm file) with Linux/SuSE installation kit.
My problem is lack of documentation, with the exception of the very
concised man-pages written by Blt author.
Is there any tutorial, worked out example of usage, and an exhausting
Blt user's manual ?
I can easily appreciate its elegant features from the slides. But it's
hard for me to reproduce any of them with the slim documentation at
hand.

Thank you very much,
Maura

with the SuSE rpm look under "/usr/lib/blt2.4/demos/" ( or similar )

I did . They showed me how elegant and powerful Blt is ... But those
are sophisticated complex examples. I was hunting for some introductory
tutorial.... Probably these advanced
Tcl/Tk extensions are for Tcl experts ... I'm not there yet though I
could fix a lot of bugs (logic) in the old GUI and develop some bew
features ... still ...

Thanks,
Maura

Read a bit through them, usually these start out easy.

Which features would you like to have examples for?

There is a bit of stuff on the wiki ...

Well... to start with I'd like to be able to place texts strings on the
canvas rotated by n*90
where n=0,1,2,3. and bind the text placement as well as the rotation
with key-mouse-buttons or to select through a menu ...
May I mix together Tcl/Tk commands with Blt commandds ?

Thanks,
Maura

i have never used rotated text but markers with the -window option
attaching a combi-widget {label|entry} to the marker.

blt supports binding to all items on a graph.

Shure, blt is an _added_ extension ( but blt_graph is not a canvas ;-)
