Whim has many reliability fixes and new features available.
The Starkit is available here:
http://whim.linuxsys.net/files/Whim433.kit
The Starkit includes binaries for:
x86 Linux (built in Slackware by Steve Redler IV);
ARM Linux (built by Steve Redler IV) compatible with the Nokia 770;
x86 NetBSD 3.0 (built by George Peter Staplin).
Why should you choose Whim as your window manager?
It's a high quality window manager, that is used constantly by its
developers.
It has support for most ICCCM hints.
It has support for the important MWM hints.
It has shaped window support.
Each virtual desktop is a canvas, so you can explore new and interesting
interface ideas.
Each window container is a frame that can have other widgets embedded.
It's easily customizable via Tcl and the Behavior menu.
It's BSD licensed.
It doesn't require patches to Tcl/Tk.
We suggest that you use Tclkit 8.5a4 with Whim. The Starkit won't work
with 8.4 Tclkits. You can however build the binaries from megapkg, and
run Whim with 8.4.
To test Whim you can start it from your existing environment (assuming
you have Xnest installed) like so:
tclkit8.5 Whim433.kit
At which point Xnest should start and Whim should be running within it.
You can add a similar command to your .xinitrc to enable automatic
starting of Whim when you start X.
Optional features and packages are available for Whim and documented on
our Wiki here: http://whim.linuxsys.net
Have fun, and keep sending in those feature requests, bugs, and changes.

I read your whole post, poked around your web page, and Googled a bit
before I found the Tcl Kit download page. A link in the requirements
would be welcome.
