Hi all,

There is a new alpha release of TkDND, which can be found at:

http://www.ellogon.org/petasis/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=50&Itemid=37
http://www.ellogon.org/petasis/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=31&Itemid=37

This release can be considered stable under windows. All features that
TkDND 2.0 will support are implemented. There are no known bugs for the
windows part and the features supported are text drag/drops, file(s)
drag/drops, outlook messages drops, and drag/drop of any custom types
are allowed, with all data transfer done through byte arrays.

The only reason for characterising the release alpha for windows is the
lack of documention. Apart from this, this release should be considered
final for the windows platform.

Regarding unix, all drag functionality is still missing. Thus, under
this platform this release is still an alpha release.

Regards,

George

Thanks for the excellent work on the rewrite. I've converted my app over to
using TkDND 2.0A4 and that's fixed the issues I was having before with Drops
alternately being detected and not being detected :-).

Hi George,

the URLs you provided to access TkDND 2.0beta are not currently
accessable (from Berlin/Germany via the UGS intranet).

Are there mirrors to get the "new" TkDND?

Thanks and best regards,

Martin

Yes, there has been a small power shortage on Saturday, and the machine
is not on a UPS. And unfortunatelly, due to national holiday here
(Easter), it won't be fixed until Tuesday.

Sorry about that, but I am really away from the machine to switch it on.

However, I have just made a file release at the tkdnd SF project page.
It should be available shortly...
