This note is to announce the second public beta release of TeamRooms,
an Internet groupware environment that lets you work together with
colleagues in real-time or asynchronously, using Unix, Mac and Windows.
What is TeamRooms?
------------------
TeamRooms provides "shared spaces" on the Internet allowing groups
to share information. These electronic team rooms provide places
to meet in real-time, or a common locale to leave information for
other collaborators. TeamRooms combines real-time groupware
technologies such as shared whiteboards, chat rooms, and customizable
groupware applets with a persistent work environment.
Whats new?
----------
The big change from beta 1 is support for the server on Macintosh
and Windows platforms, so you can now try out TeamRooms if you
don't have a Unix machine available. The whiteboard has been
upgraded substantially, and there are a whole host of smaller
additions, many bug fixes, and so on. The Mac release in particular
should be in much better shape than in the first beta.

Releases are available for SunOS, Solaris, SGI, Linux, AIX,

fancy hardware like video cameras or high-speed networks.
