3Delight 0.9 is out:
- Many bug fixes.
- MacOS X support! This is our first release for MacOS X. Your feedback is
important. NOTE: for some unknown reason, Internet Explorer will save
the file under the name "download.asp". Do _not_ "unstuff" that file, just
rename it to "3delight.tar.gz" and follow the installation steps as described
in the user manual. Everything should be done from a unix shell.
- The sampling algorithm has been optimized for AltiVec processors
(thanks to everyone at fo...@altivec.org). Expect to get faster renders
whith heavy motion blur and depth of field. This optimisation applies only
to Linux PPC. NOTE: Do not try to install the AltiVec and the normal version
on the same system, the two may collide.
- Imager shaders are now supported.
- Output variable are now supported. The extensions to RiQantize and RiDisplay
(regarding quantization and dithering parameters) are also implemented.
- Rib output is know indented.
- Installation scripts (on unix systems) should work fine in all cases.
Go get it at www.3delight.com!

Downloading the Linux/Intel version right now...
Really an excellent renderer, it's just a pity it doesn't yet support
subdivision surfaces and that it's not fully renderman compliant.
It's so fast it's impressing!
