Does anyone know why Microsoft set the kill bits for the flex grid and hierarchical flex grid controls? I imagine these controls are utilized by many applications. Also, does Microsoft plan on releasing an update to these controls? From what I am reading, the original security bulletin was MS08-070 and was posted on 12/9/2008. This makes me wonder why an update has not yet been released. Any input regarding this is appreciated. Thanks.

Disregard the above. It looks like Microsoft already issued an update for these controls back in October of 2008:(http://www.microsoft.com/ technet/security/Bulletin/MS08-070.mspx)
