CHILDREN OF IMMIGRANT DETAINEES ASK FOR PARENTS RELEASE

On Saturday August 22, 2009 children of immigrant detainees will march
to Cook County Jail from Our Lady of Guadalupe Anglican Catholic
Mission. The sons and daughters will March for their parents and ask
the general population to March with them on September 7, 2009 from
Union Park to the Federal Building .

Jenny Portugal is 9 years old. Her father has been deported and said
“I ask Obamas daughters to help me be with my father again. He can
stop the raids.”

The children are asking for Obama to STOP the RAIDS, I-VERIFY and pass
a Legalization Bill for millions of Children whose childhood is being
stolen by a broken system.


The Children of Immigrant detainees will march down 26th Street in La
Villita to Cook County Jail on 26 & California . The March will begin
at 11:00am sharp, 3442 W. 26th Street , Chicago Illinois .
