DUPAGE IMMIGRANT RIGHTS ACTIVISTS: WE WILL MARCH ON LABOR DAY
Immigrant Solidarity Dupage, the largest immigrant rights group in the county, in its mission to educate, organize and mobilize the community in support of immigrant workers and the rights of the Latino community announces an 8am train station rally, Labor Day September 7, in Glen Ellyn at the Metra Train Station 551 Cresent in downtown Glen Ellyn. The event will feature speakers from the group such as founders Cristobal Cavazos and Rafael Vieyra, as well as Tom Cordaro from Pax=2 0Christi Dupage, College of Dupage student leader Jose Vera and others in addition to music, singing and food.
The motives20of the rally are to bring attention to the plight of the i mmigrant population in Dupage that continues to suffer given the Obama Administrations lack of action on a promised just immigration reform, to invite people to get on the train to march in the massive immigrant rights rally leaving from Union Park in Chicago at 11am and to celebrate the growing Dupage immigrant rights movement.
The demands of the Dupage rally as well as the Labor Day march are three: Legalization for all Immigrants ; No to the E-Verify system of I-9 revisions and firings; and No to the Polimigra or Police-Immigration collaboration.

Activistas Pro-Inmigrantes en Dupage: Marcharemos el Dia de Trabajo
Solidaridad Migrante Dupage, el grupo pro-inmigrante mas largo del condado, en su mision de educar, organizar y mobilizar a la comunidad en apoyo de trabajadores inmigrantes y los derechos de la comunidad latina, anuncia un rally el 7 de septiembre “el Dia de Trabajo” a las 8am en la estacion de tren Metra en Glen Ellyn, 551 Cresent en el mero centro del pueblo. El evento destacara oradores como Cristobal Cavazos y Rafael Vieyra--fundadores del grupo Solidaridad Migrante Dupage--junto con Tom Cordaro de Pax Christi Dupage y el lider estudiantil del College of Dupage Jose Vera, entre otros, con canciones y musica y comida gratis.
Los motivos del rally son tres: para educar a la comunidad de la necesidad de una reforma migratoria justa y integral debido al incumplimiento de comprimisos del presidente Barack Obama con inmigrantes;&nbs p; tomar el tren a Chicago para reunir en el Parque Union a las 11am y luego marchar a la Plaza Daley; y para celebrar el movimiento pro-inmigrante energetico y dedicado en el condado Dupage.
Las demandas, tanto del rally como de la marcha en Chicago son tres: Legalizacion para Todos; No al E-Verify; y no al llamado “Polimigra” es decir, agents policiacos con poderes de oficiales de inmigracion.
