Join Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission/Justice Mission
allies this Labor Day weekend as we continue to push forward to End
Deportations, End Family Separation and fighting for a Moratorium on
Deportations to be enacted by President Obama.
We will host the “Freedom
Riders” from the “Freedom Ride! Immigrants’ caravan against Deportations”, that
began two days ago, Friday 2nd 5:00pm in Schaumburg IL.
By then The
Freedom Riders have had traveled trough Cook, DuPage and Will Counties and traveled more than 100
miles on the road via bicycle and car.
The Immigrant Freedom Rides--based
on the 1960s Civil Rights Movement tactic--will bring immigrant rights activists
and the community from around Chicago Land and nearby suburbs to confront
xenophobic legislations, English-Only ordinances, Secure Communities and 287(g)
I.C.E. programs, in the Fight for legalization for our 11 million undocumented
immigrant brothers and sisters and their families in the United States.

and Press
Conference, for the Freedom
Riders.
