Chicago Teachers Union

You are invited to the 2011 Labor Notes
Troublemakers School May 21, 2011

Dear Sarah,

There’s an old saying, “All politics is local.”
Unions are no different. Solidarity starts with you, in the trenches. Without Unity, the attacks on collective bargaining in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio would have been forfeited without a fight. With the current round of attacks on collective bargaining and the public sector at home, we know that there are eyes on Illinois.
We will not back down without a fight.
Will you help strengthen CTU school-by-school and citywide?
Our communities are centered around the schools where we learn and teach. Labor also has a hub for learning and teaching, where members go for inspiration, dialogue, and fresh organizing ideas.
