IMMIGRANT NATION - The Battle for a Dream
Screening to support the effort of the March 10th Committee for the
2010 May Day march for the Legalization for All undocumented
immigrants.
When: Friday, April 30, 2010 at 7:00pm
Where: Workers United Hall, 333 S. Ashalnd Ave.
Description Immigrant Nation! tells the story of the immigrant rights
movement thourgh the struggle of single mother Elvira Arellano for
staying in the country with his son. This independent documentary tell
how how organization, activist, communityleader and individuals as a
whole came together to oppose bill HR4437 and started the fight for
the legalization of all undocumented workers.
The proceeds of this screening will go to the March 10th Committe to
pay for the costs of propaganda material to be used during the May Day
march and to support the general costs of the 2010 May Day Organizing
Committee.
At the time will be also putting together our posters and banners, and
all are invited to participate and help.
