Why We Can't Wait: City-Wide DREAM Act
Meeting

Congress Lounge, Roosevelt University

A
Call to All DREAM Activists: Reach Out. Re-Connect.
Unite!
Since the Dream Act was first
introduced in 2001 its most vocal advocates have been legislators, educators and
clergymen. Finally this movement is coming of age as undocumented students stand
up and take ownership of their fight.
On
August 29th, 12:30-3 PM, Immigrant Youth Justice League will be hosting an
organizing meeting at Roosevelt University’s Congress Lounge. It is time for
us to harness the momentum and for everyone willing to lend a helping hand to
stand up. 65,000 compounded by over ten years of waiting is not just a number.
Our friends cannot wait, our brothers cannot wait, our sisters cannot wait, and
we cannot wait.
This is a youth-led DREAM Act organizing forum. It is time
youth from around the city gather to push DREAM, we invite you to come together
and share our ideas, strategies, plans and
actions.
