A Message from Immigrant Youth Justice League members!

On March 10 2010, we marched with hundreds of youth in the streets of Chicago and chanted “Undocumented and Unafraid”

Thank you for showing solidarity, for the sharing of your resources, and for your contributions which has helped us to continue in the fight for immigrant rights and immigration reform.

...On Saturday May 1st 2010 we marched again demanding Legalization for all, leadership from politicians, moratorium on raids and deportations, stop the e-verify and no to SB 1070 where a few of our demands that day. The Giant had awakened one more time and this time with more momentum and unity than before.

May Day marks a turning point in our movement. No more promises, no more deadlines. We must confront the oppressive enforcement system that is tearing apart our families and trampling civil liberties. We will bring this crisis directly to the American people and ask that they stand up for families, students, workers and for the economy. It will take all of us doing our part.

Now, Thirty days before Arizona’s SB 1070 Law goes into effect; Chicago organizes a Nation-Wide Campaign!

Immigrant Youth Justice League along with other organizations and activist are launching “Moratorium on Deportations Campaign”, and we want you to Join Us!!!

The announcement will be made tomorrow, Tuesday, June 29th in front of ICE Headquarters (101 W. Congress Pkwy) 10:00AM. Come and Show Support!

Attached you will find the press advisory, Moratorium on Deportations Campaign Manifesto and the How to get involve and support the campaign Information sheets. Please take a moment and go over the information and Join us on the Campaign, the campaign where EVERYONE will be able to be a part of.

“The message is simple; we demand a moratorium on all deportations through president Obama’s executive power until a just and humane immigration system is in place” m.c. (IYJL)

“We need to come together and re-organize, re-strategize, and re-build the movement; we need mass actions that will pressure our main target, President Obama, to do what’s right, using his executive power to implement a moratorium on all deportations, no more promises, no more waiting, no more separation of families!” j.h. (IYJL)
