'ILHS Display at National Train Day Saturday, May 11, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Chicago's Union Station The ILHS has teamed up with the Pullman State Historic Site to present a display on the history of Pullman, Illinois at National Train Day to tell the story of this model company town where workers' historic battles helped shaped the modern labor movement. Sponsored by Amtrak in cities across the country, Chicagoans have flfocked to Union Station Train Day by the thousands. At lest is last year's ILHS display, which focused on the Pullmlan Porters. Special Labor History Happenings on May 10 Uri-Eichen Gallery, 2101 S. Halsted, Chicago Part of a five-month focus on "Eight Hours for Work, Eight Hours for Rest, Eight Hours for What We Will: A History of Work," on May 10 the Uri-Eichen Gallery will feature the Story of Haymarket,  music by Bucky Halker, a display of pieces from the ILHS colllection, and a silent auction to raise funds for organizing the ILHS archives. A special Labor History Tour of Pilson with Chicago historian Paul Durica will step off from the Galllery at 7:30 PM on May 10. For details visit the Uri-Eichen website.
