Hey All,

Thanks a bunch for coming.. Had great fun :)

I was wondering if it would be possible for us to meet sometime during the week and lay a roadmap of sorts as to what we could do with www.tweetupwatch.com. Currently Ashish, Sathya and I are on it but it would be great to hear from you guys too (more brains at work :) ). Let me know how you guys are placed on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.. We could all meet up for dinner perhaps.

Your thoughts please.

I'd rather choose the OpenID option than opening it up. I dont think signing up is a big task but OpenID is something that makes sense too.. Thanks Sudar Muthu for the suggestion.

Guys, how about Akismet Plugin for MediaWiki <http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AkismetKlik> to handle spam?

PS: I have used Akismet only in WordPress so far and not in MediaWiki.

I would say lets not have tweetups at regular intervals.
The whole affair would become boring.

Lets have a tweetup every month or every two months - people should wait eagerly for every tweetup.

Making tweetups a once a month affair makes it way too formal. The only reason why the Bangalore twitter team is so popular across the world is because of the fact that they are so close a circle - this being a result of very frequent tweetups and the fact that they host a mega tweetup everytime someone from another city lands up. I've gone to Bangalore thrice and I've seen the max turnouts when I've been there - ever heard of 50+ in a tweetup?

Making tweetups interesting depends on us. Food Walk for example was a very interesting tweetup. Now we gotta let people know that this happened. That's when people outside will get to know that Chennai is happening too  :)

Suggestions welcome :)

Never said make it monthly - it would sound too formal.
Just said lets not make it too frequent.
Remember - familiarity breeds contempt.
Just my opinion.

And Chennai has always been happening! :)

Banglore Tweetup is altogether different spec. Both time and People allow them to have so frequent. It solely depends on the type of people and what they do and how they communicate with each other.

1. We can always have tweetup any time one wants. If any body would be interested he or she will join.

2. We should have one Major tweetup which can be officially organize to give motive to this group. Tweetup is fun will always be fun but we need to fulfill the need of everybody here.

Some people might come to see some fruitful things happening. Some might come for fun. Twiiter is different we both have geeks and fun loving and mix of both.

We need to do all sort of things. Like Discuss any random topic. May be fore 15 minutes and we are done. then enjoy talk and have fun.

This way people who come for some idea exchange will be happy too.

3. Seeing the kind of people It might not be possible for major tweetup like 50 in ma month but The group should feel free. Even if any 10 people are free have a tweetup. Major tweetup we can have once in a month.

Comments welcome.

Thanks and Regards
