Connecting with a Trading Partner

We have a partner we'd like to add to bots but they will only accept
VAN or AS2 as connections. 

We use a VAN currently but are experimenting with Bots to reduce costs
and have finer control. 

What are our options for connecting with this partner via AS2? I've
seen the open source AS2 software that looks promising. But if we
wanted to outsource it, what would you all recommend.

that one works OK, from what I hear and my own (limited) experience.
communication from/to AS2 server works OK via file system.
