What do people want to hack on?

As is now tradition, we will head to Rock Bottom Resturant and Brewery
for some post-hackfest beers.

I propose we call it 'The Great Beyond: Rails 2.1'. Could do stuff
like:

* Port someone's app to Rails 2.1
* Take someone's ported app, and use new shiny stuff.
* Take plugins hosted on github, and make gems out of them, to use
2.1's gem support

I'm interested in the plugin -> gem deal especially.

Same here, though I'm not sure whether or not I can make it.

I found one kink in porting a plugin to a gem: there's not an
automatic way to pickup Rake tasks.

I was playing around with converting a plugin or two to gems ahead of
time, and found echoe to be really straightforward:

This is the main class, and the rdoc shows what you need to do in your
Rakefile:

Would you mind posting your list of commonly used gems & plugins for
me Dan? How about you Josh? There were a couple you both mentioned
last night I'd like to checkout.

Anyone else maintain a list of go-tos?

A few of mine:
PLUGINS
acts_as_ferret
enumerations_mixin
calendardateselect
white_list
shoulda

GEMS
fastercsv
pdf-writer
will_paginate
mocha
ruby-debug
factory_girl

Thanks Dan, Josh and Thoughtbot!
