After playing around 2 days, with all the errors that you can see all
over the internet, finally I got this latest QS work on Snow leopard
and it is very fast.

Delete all old quicksilver.app, ~/Library/quicksilver, ~/Library/cache/
quicksilver, ~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver, etc. Basically
clean all up.

Assign quicksilver on every spaces.

Go to:
Applications/Quicksilver (Show package content) > Contents >
QSDefaults.plist

Edit Use effect to "No", Save it. and relaunch the Quicksilver.

Good luck. It might not all of the above should be done to make it
work, but those were steps that I did.

Please share...

Thanks

I just updated to SL and had serious problems with QS, including
characters appearing twice in the first pane of the Command Interface
and non-working triggers. Editing the plist as described fixed
everything! Thanks!

Ka-ching! That ... along with not installing any plug-ins ... did the
trick. Muchas gracias!

What does "Assign quicksilver on every spaces" mean? How do I do
that?

b56a7 doesn't work for me so I may try what you suggest. But I'm
unhappy about losing all of my triggers, plugins, etc.

Just thought I would share my experience with SL and QS.

After following above on one machine, I tried variations on my other
two machines.

I found that deleting the cache folder and the plugins folder and
plist was enough.

~\library\caches\quicksilver
~\library\application support\quicksilver\plugins
~\library\application support\quicksilver\plugins.plist

editing the qsdefault.plist didn't make a difference.

The only issue I see now, is the preferences. Each option from app
dropdown (preferences, triggers, plugins) opens in own window - there
is no menu on left side to switch between the above. And the
preferences option shows a blank window.

All in all, not bad for an app that's not been developed for how
long ;-)

ps I am still using last official release

Do you mean you're still using b54? Because I'm using b54 right now
with SL and I'm not having any problems at all. I didn't have to
delete any of the application support folders. It just worked right
away when I upgraded to SL.

Granted, my use of QS is pretty much limited to opening applications
with triggers and opening files. I don't use a lot of plugins or
other commands.

Switters, by 'assign QS on ever spaces' they're talking about the case
where you have spaces activated in Leopard, and have certain
applications assigned to certain spaces windows (see preferences-
>spaces on Leopard). In this case you would have to have QS assigned
to all working spaces.
In any case it seems for the moment the best choice is to downgrade to
the previous version until a stable one is released.

Fantastic, this worked for me too, changing the use effect to false did the trick!

(didn't have to clean the directories...)
