I've been testing Quicksilver with Lion and haven't come across any problems. When you went through the install process, did you install any plugins?

I've had the iTunes module working for me, but I'll test it more thoroughly in a few days, as this is an important module to have working in Lion.

Thanks for the follow up, it's really appreciated!

FWIW I've had no problems with the iTunes module either under Lion either.

In fact the only problems I've had with Lion have been the Quicksilver interface not being visible when 'invoked' in fullscreen mode & the "Email Item… (Send Directly) action not working. Also right arrowing into Mail's been broken since preview 3.

While talking about Lion may I suggest in preparation for Lion Quicksilver users make sure the 'Make Visible (Show) …' action is checked in the Actions part of your preferences. As you may be aware  have hidden the home Library folder in Lion & I imagine the first thing most of you will want to do after upgrading to Lion will be to use QS to navigate to this folder (hold down '⌥' when right arrowing into a folder to reveal hidden items) then tab right, select the 'Make Visible (Show) …' action & hit return.

That's one thing that's been bugging me since I first tested with DP3. I wasn't aware of the 'Make Visible (Show)' action, so thanks for that!

Yeah we're aware of this. It still looks like Apple are using a non-final folder structure for Mail (it's in a folder called V2) so I want to wait until Lion is actually released before we look into it properly.

> "Email Item… (Send Directly) action not working

This this is related to above, but again, we have the issue noted.

> the Quicksilver interface not being visible when 'invoked' in fullscreen mode

Is that reproducible for you? I think I had this problem once, then it went away...
:S

It happens with all the Apps that have fullscreen capabilities, Mail, Safari & the iLife Apps.

I assumed that it was a Lion thing & would affect everyone but this obviously isn't the case. I've just tried logging into the guest account & found that a clean setup of Quicksilver works fine there. I also tried replacing the Application Support & preference files for Quicksilver in the guest account & after restarting Quicksilver I was once again unable to see Quicksilver with Apps fullscreen. Which suggested to me that it was a Quicksilver issue rather than a 3rd party App. Or it did till I tried to set up a clean Quicksilver in my normal account & found that even this didn't work here.

So now I'm totally confused & the only explanation I can think of is that there's both something with my my QS setup AND something with my Lion setup stopping Quicksilver working in fullscreen mode.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else has this problem when Lion finally drops. Meanwhile short of doing a clean install of both Lion & Quicksilver I don't know what to do now.

I'm a long time user and fan of Quicksilver - it's the one thing that keeps me on the Mac in fact. I upgraded to Lion this morning and have noticed issues with having Quicksilver launch on login.
If I remove it from the Login Items and then launch after startup manually - it's all fine.

For some reason I thought it may be conflicting with other programs that play with displays like Nocturne or Isolator so I've disabled those for now.

Will have more of a look around before confirming my theory - but I thought I'd just see whether anyone else had issues with having QS start at login. (I feel so crippled without it at launch).

Yeah thanks for the info. We've had one user report something similar, which can be seen here: https://github.com/quicksilver/Quicksilver/issues/411

If you find out any more information, or have anything more to add it would be great to know. Thanks!

(P.S. as I'm developing Quicksilver, I typically open Xcode and build Quicksilver from the source to run it. Those 2-3 minutes when I first start my Mac are so painful! :P)

Turning on the menu interface causes QS to crash on load. I've created
at issue over at github, too. But this might be part of why people are
having trouble once they install Lion.
