I have used Email Send Directly (via Gmail) for so long it is
ingrained in me, and now it has stopped working and I have tried
EVERYTHING to identify the problem. About the only thing I get out of
the logs is this:

2/2/09 11:51:39 PM Quicksilver[25237] Send Failed
2/2/09 11:51:45 PM Quicksilver[25291] bad data for fccc

I have both the Apple Mail and Gmail modules activated, and Gmail is
set as my Handler. I even tried a fresh QS Support folder (all new
plugs, plist, etc).. still no go.

I am hoping someone knows the solution

- thx

To find an SMTP server to use, QS send directly uses the first account
configured in Mail.app.

I'm sure I've described all the necessary config in the manual:

Gmail is the only account setup in Mail.app, and sending mail from
Mail.app works fine.

Is the error message "bad data for fccc"? I haven't seen that before
but perhaps it's "fcc" which in email is filed carbon copy. If it was
set to a bad value (an incorrect path?) then I could see a problem.
I'm not sure where such a thing would be set though. QS Email Options
just offer a customized From field. Mail.app in the Composing prefs
lets you automatically CC yourself but I don't see something for FCC.

I spent hours disabling stuff, starting with fresh Application Support/
Quicksilver, etc and nothing helped. I finally just decided to try and
toss the Preferences/Quicksilver Prefs and boom - lo and behold I can
send mail again. Odd thing is I have not been able to choose "Gmail"
as my mail handler - its not an option, the only option I have is
"Google Notifier", even stranger is the fact that QS Send Direct seems
to work fine with "Mail.app" set as the mail handler (even though I
don't use mail.app). Anyway - problem solved - thx!
