Violence begets violence. How many did the moslems kill as they moved
into the area? Especially as we all know the famous Turkish Moslem
interpretation of "Spread the Religion at all costs": "Kill everyone who
refuses to convert". Almost as bad as us Catholics during the dark
ages. And just look at what happened to Catholics in England during the
early years of Protestantism.
In other words, I'd venture a guess that the reason you're the only
person I've ever seen spout this stuff is because the native Armenians
probabally remembered what happened in the invasion of Armenia by moslems
in the first place.
This is all very far in the past. Time to let go. Not to forget, for if
we forget, we will repeat the mistakes. But rather to learn that hate
and war will always come back to the people who started it, and sometimes
thier heirs.
