Scrolling a document with keys

Hi,

Until v. 9.6.3 I have always used Ctrl + Arrow-down and Ctrl + Arrow-
up for scrolling a document (any kind) within the BBEdit viewport. As
Ctrl + Alt + Arrow-up and Ctrl + Alt + Arrow-down for the same purpose
just with faster scroll..

Now (and I believe it was after upgrading to v. 9.6.3) the first
(slower) scroll method just doesn't work for me anymore. Only the
second (faster) scroll works, which is highly frustrating – I've used
these keys for scrolling for at least 5 yrs – just can't get them out
of my bones..

Could somebody please try the key combinations above on a longer
document to see if all key combinations work for you?

something happened to your system maybe. that all works for me. look at your systemprefs, keyboard shortcuts

Thanks for testing Robert!

I've been through all system prefs including shortcuts for system,
applications and even universal access which I never use..

Just don't get it..

log into another account, then try it. you may need to trash the prefs.

Control-Arrow Keys switch Spaces. That can be changed in the Spaces System Preferences pane.

Excellent Jeffrey - right on the nail!

I never used Spaces, but had a go some while ago. Didn't use it and
turned if off again, but that key combination was somehow reserved for
Spaces and when I turned it off scrolling in BBEdit worked again!
