I don't know much about road bikes but Trek 1.2 is nearly x2 the usual
price of Sport 1. Surely there must be a lot of difference in the
components if it is priced so.

Hi All

 

I was planning to upgrade my MTB.

 

Have been riding ACT 105 from past 1.5 yrs and wanted to upgrade.

 

I also ride Hero Mach (Single speed) in Mysore and really enjoy the comfort of a simple road bike.

 

Was in dilemma in chossing between Hybrid and a Road bike..

 

Is this a good deal??

I would think so, yes. Not top of the line components, but functional,
and a lot of people have been riding this on huge distances without
any complaints.
