Marian McParland's Piano Jazz

Just a note to remind people of a national treasure, pianist Marian
McPartland. She hosts "Piano Jazz" each week (heard locally on KCSM-FM
Wednesday at 9:00pm).

What's incredible about her besides her longevity (she's now 92) is that she
hosts a very casual sounding show featuring jazz legends and some newcomers
(and often people not considered jazz performers such as Willie Nelson), and
then plays duets with them! It's interesting to note that these duets are
spontaneous because you hear them muttering, "Do you want that in B-flat?", or
in the case of piano duets sometimes both Marian and her guest might fight
(musically) for the lead in a tune.

The only criticism I have of KCSM is they didn't go along
with KFJC and change their college into a broacasting
vehicle for Satanic Jazz (i.e. The Devils Radio KFJC FM)

Alan Dale of KTEH TV 54 always gets a PASS
a KFJC FM notable who's selection of music is remembered
as a statement of his livication (dedication) to the greatness
of his place on this planet and how even Robert Edward Pelzel,
KFJC FM's collegiate moderator of that classroom setting

" I am too cool for school":

Even Pelzel told I that Alan Dale told him that "KFJC is too
childish", and the reason that Alan Dale left.....and so did
InI after again being falsely accused at the DEVIL

I have plenty of 78 r.p.m. acetate rare things, even many paper
records from the depression era....wonderful stuff.
Alan is a footnote in InI's life, a nice one....
