The High Country 200k brevet has been scheduled for August 18th.

Trail boss Paul Layton has revised the route slightly for 2012. After
Springerville/Eager, we'll go out and back to some place called Big
Lake. The detours to Greer and the ski lodge have been eliminated,
including the slog across the huge dirt parking lot.

RUSA has also approved the Heart of Arizona brevet for November 3rd
and the Mt Lemmon 200k brevet for November 10th.

That's an awesome route! I'm going to try hard to make it to this one.

Thanks, Paul, for the nice improvements.

Last year I talked to a local roadie while manning the vernon control and learned they had just paved the road from Big Lake to Sunrise. Of course I'm torn from the camper side but the roadie in me is going coo coo for cocoa puffs. That is probably one of the most beautiful stretches of road in az imho evn after the fire. There is no way the boss is going to keep me from preriding this one.
