Evening all,

I just posted a mini tutorial for getting Motion Capture data into
Broomstick via the MD5 format.

Really nice job! Funny how the neck gets thin when he throws the baseball.

So you want a kinect to record the animations or for what?

Hi Pete, yes with that Kinect software you can do pretty decent motion
capture for under 400 bucks!
It outputs to "3D MAX Biped-compatible .BVH", so would fit perfectly
into the pipeline.

Was that running the demo from the net, or trying to compile it John?
The material is embedded in the swf, so that should be ready before
the first render.
I can't reproduce the error, but will try updating incubator...

Does a real nice job considering it's just assuming Z position of certain things. But yeah mocap studio + keep your kid from bothering you for under $400? Sold! lol

Nuts. Turns out David's demo (from which I borrowed 99% of the code)
dies too with the current build.

I am not sure if the examples are outdated but may be the cause is in the last Incubator build.Do you guys run the latest Incubator?

Foe example Alternativa latest build got screwed partially due to the latest Incubator update.

OK, noticed the globalPlayer.swc was updated together with the latest
player build.
I'll try a recompile using that when I get to the office tomorrow.

I tried to log in to the Adobe bug system, but there seems to be a bug
in that too.
I can't find the incubator bug tracker any more, seems to have been
taken down.
The only bugs listed are for FP 10. Anyone?

Away4 is currently not working properly with the latest incubator.
Adobe made some changes and we have yet to incorporate them all into
the Away4 codebase. You will need to go back to using the previous
incubator build, or wait for us to update the code (which should
happen very soon).

OK, that certainly rained on my parade :)

I'll put out an updated version as soon as there's a change in the
incubator player and/or there's
an Away3D version to work with the current beta.

Now updated with new source, compiled with latest github version of
Away3d.

I am experiencing some weirdness with the player disappearing and
reappearing at random.
If anyone can tell me why I'd be very grateful.

Found the bug!
Added a mesh.bounds.nullify() when the player first loads and now it
runs correctly :)
