More keys in RC

Hi!

I'm going to install the VDR + IPTV in my AppleTV. There is only one
trouble - original Apple Remote have only six keys. It's not enough.

I use universal remote with learning feature, so I can genetate so
many keys codes as I want. But can the AppleTV receiver recognize
other key codes than original six keys from Apple Remote?

Yes, you can capture 6 keys from the remote, press and hold play and
menu to cycle to the next 6 keys and repeat untill you have enough
buttons. There is a ton of discussionon this issue within the

Make sure you do NOT pair your apple remote with AppleTV, if it is
paired, unpair it using AppleTV.

Then you record the 6 buttons, and:
... Then increment the UID by pressing "Menu" and "Play/Pause" for 5
seconds.

Now you can record another 6 buttons.

Repeat and rinse until you have enough codes recorded.
Pain in the butt, but you only do it once.
I highly recommend recording more than you will want.
