The Angel in Decatur

There's a new Derek Lawford pub joining Prince of Whales, Rose & Crown and
Hand & Hand -- called The Angel (next door to Watershed in Decatur).
The building is really nice, they pour a good Guinness and the patio,
while a little smaller than some of their others, was nice.

We sat outside for about 3 hours -- for awhile Indigo Girl, Emily was
one table over. The food isn't quite there yet: the lamb was tough
and had a nasty little sauce on it, the Brit burger had some kind of
strange cheese goop on it and the fish in the fish and chips was
over-cooked. But they've only been open for 2 weeks so I'm sure
they'll get it going better.

Anyways, you're there for the beer, right?

Speaking of local celebrities, I didn't know Conan O'Brien's announcer
Joel was from the area, but he was hanging around Oakhurst last week.
I guess he went to Emory.
