Anyone have opinions on github?

I've noticed a lot of projects using, and have to admit from a
management standpoint, it looks like a better host for opensource
projects. I like the idea of the people being able to fork off the
project, and if the changes are suitable for the primary project, just
merge them in.

I really don't have any statistics to see how often people are pulling
from svn for gaeutilities, so thought I'd ask before I look at making
the switch.
