Hi there,

Finally you will watch videos from youtube.com on Android x86 ICS RC1.

You need to install the Ninesky browser and Adobe Flash Player. You can
download adobe flash player apk directly from this link http://bit.ly/wh0O7C
---> link from apktops

Ninesky playing videos smoothly but they have low quality even if you
choose high quality.Stock browser, boat browser and youtube native
application didn't open the videos.

Other streaming sites:

Vimeo : Freezing on the beginning of the video

Dailymotion : Just sound no visual

Ustream: Not working

Just an FYI, in StefanS's ThinkPad x41 build we have YouTube working within Chrome and the YT application itself, without need for outside applications.

There was discussion earlier here in android-x86 that detailed what he did to make it work.

Cheers,

Here is the link :

But you need to compile your own build.

@ Brian,

The workaround proposed by supremazy is for users not being able to build themself.
Otherwise if this Flash Player is working on x86 devices, it's a good news.

I wasn't trying to say that this is not good news, in fact, it is good news to have a userspace option for getting YT working.  My main point is that it should be built into the images or user's builds (instead of trying to put a band-aid on it).

Great work all!

For sure, as long as all available ISO files are up to date ! ^^

Not sure this is the case on Android-x86 or alternate hosting websites
download pages...

Yeah,

I was also wondering if the mentioned Flash Player version could display flash files with flash website... ^^

The initial poster was not very clear about this, but I guess he made a missmatch with some video files formats...

AFAIK, there is no Flash Player compatible with x86 yet !!!

But may be in next future, this could be possible as Google and Adobe sign up for a contrat for a port to be Chrome specific plugin !?!?!?!

Can't tell if this involve Android Chrome version and x86 devices...

Maybe some hope With Intel as well ????
