Hey guys,

1. Will there be any copyright related issues, when I Submit my
application that contains some of the >Tango Icon Theme< Icons, which
is under the CC by-sa License ( http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/
) ?

2. As it is Share-Alike there will be no problems if I just put my app
out for 100% free, right?

Regards,

I used some Tango icons in my app.

I gave them attribution in my about activity. As far as I understand
the license, I didn't modify them so that's my only obligation. I
don't understand including an icon in an application to be covered in:

"If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute
the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this
one."

Could be a mistake by me, but I don't think that "alter, transform, or
build upon" covers aggregation with my code.

Tom.

I am using some of the tango icons in my app. I modified them by
making the background transparent. I don't foresee having any
copyright issues since my project is open source.

I'm also using some of the icons that I have found within the Android
distribution and applications... I hope the Google guys won't be
bothered by that.
