As others have done, I figured I'd do a thread for my own submission.
I don't expect to win, but if there is any interest, I'd finish
porting the game over to Android in the future.

You can view a demo of the educational match space shooter game at:

http://www.phdgaming.com/Games/EDUBlaster.cfm

Download the apk at: http://www.phdgaming.com/c/EDUBlaster.apk

Normally you would control the game using the left / right / up /
down / center key pad, but I also just took 20 minutes to update it to
also respond to click events (which improves the fun, imo, but sadly
was not implemented before I made my submission due to a brain fart).
You still change the menu items using the left / right keys and the
center fire button.

Further information on how to play is contained in the readme at:

http://www.phdgaming.com/c/README.txt

For those with J2ME phones, well, the non-prototype and balanced
version of the game is also located on my site. Thanks for your time
and for any feedback (even if it consists of "it sucks" :p) is
appreciated!

Fantastic! Games for Learning. Loving it. You don't expect to win, but you got my vote. Good luck on your EDUBlaster.

Muthu - just wow, thanks. :) It is the niche market I decided to focus
on as most cell phone "educational games" out there are usually brain
age clones, and the added educational element helps make the time
spent gaming a bit more productive.

I've seen many amazing apps out there.... so hopefully the judges like
the submission as much as you do. :)

Good luck on your application as well!

For anyone interested:

Updated APK to fix some bugs and now allow one to also click to
navigate the menus (instead of always having to use the DPAD).
