My Denon receiver needed either a recent version of Media Player that
I could not run, of a DLNA server.

I found this site that lists the existing DLNA server programs:

I tried Fuppes, which crashed on my trying to load the library. Did it
trip on my 12,000 songs? we'll never know.

Then I tried TVersity

Very solid, it loaded my library in a snap. My Receiver found it on
the network right away, and I'm listening to mu music as we speak.
