Now that high definition TVs are down into the below 20 inch range, and cheap
12VDC to 120VAC converters are available, this might be practical.

OTOH, maybe they only care about SD?

How about we divide the 54-72 MHz band up into 36 channels of 500 kHz each
and put some "narrowband" digital TV on there with low definition programming.

I say let the 76-88 MHz band merge with the 88-108 MHz band. But that is
going digital, too, right?
