History DVD Cancelled????!!!!!!

I work in a large-chain video store, and word today was that the upcoming
"History of Beavis and Butthead" 2-DVD set has been "cancelled by the
publisher". To quote Beavis himself- "That SUCKS!!!!". No word yet on if it's a
permanent cancellation or just a we're-not-done-producing-the-product temporary
cancellation.

Amazon.com has removed all mention of the title from their website, so
apparently it's true.

I just saw an add on TV during The Best Damn Sports show, a 4 or 5 DVD
collection of Beavis and Butthead, like 42 episodes. $29.99. They listed
the Time Life website www.timelife.com , but the website has nothing about
it. We will see.

its 100% true i work in a video store and we had the videos for a week and i
had a chance to get it but i decided to wait for the DVD i came in today and
found out both were cancelled for "legal" reasons whatever the hell that means
and my dick boss said i couldnt get the videos were sending them back too! this
blows i couldve had it im gonna search around stores before they realize they
have to send it back too

Yes I can second confirm it was canceled I ordered it thru my friend
who knows a video store & he got a call today by his distrbutor giving
a RA# for him to send it back. He said he was going to let me use it
before he sends it back...

So does anyone know the reason why it was canceled. ???

I wonder if Time-Life had anything to do with this set being cancelled? I could
see them being pissed that this set would have come out right after they
release their set.

Well I watched the History of B & B before my friend has to send it
back, & I couldn't see anything on it that would show why it was
recalled. There were no music videos, they had pictures of famous
people with beavis & buttheads head in place of the actual persons
head. My understanding this set's episodes are diffrent then the time
life set. I was going to order the time life set but its on back
order i guess

The animated menus on this firecracker of a DVD contain footage, and stills
that Paramount neglected to obtain permission for thus, at the 11th hour
before it was due to arrive in stores, it got pulled and sent into DVD
obscurity.


No word as of yet as to if or when this title will even get published again.
