It is looking like America will only get to send one lady to next year's
Worlds. If the
ladies short results were the final result, America would only get to send
ONE lady
to 2013 Worlds, with Ashley in 8th and Alissa in 16th.

That's plenty to get 2.

Why don't you know the rules?

His bus driver must ask him that often.

And that IS what happened, as I expted. Alissa finsihes 22nd and
Ashley fourth, so America gets ONE lady for 2013 worlds, even
though our detractors here might say otherwise.

Never did I EVER think that America would only get to send
one lady. Even in the 1980s, what like to call the "zero medal"
decade for American womens skating, America always got to
send at least two to Worlds/Olympics.

American womens skating has gone WAY down the dunny,
and I don't see American womens skating bringing home the
gold in Sochi, though I think that Ashley Wagner does have a
shot at the bronze in 2014. Ashley is the ONLY American in
the ladies division right now, likely to finsih in the top 5 in the
next few years. Alissa is TOAST. Rachael would not have done
much better, had she been sent to Worlds.

I will say that Ashley handled the rigors of ulta long distance
travel down here to New Schwabia than Rachael would have.
Going by way of Sal, the total distance is about 11,000 miles.

Well, another skating season has come to an end, and we will see
you next season. As of right now, this is to be with the Nebelhorn
Trophy in Oberstsdorf, in late September. But could also be with
another "Senior B" event, that we would likely add to the Masters
Series schedule. There is one tentatively scheduled to be somewhere
in the USA, date and location still to be announced.

For those that have tuned in our broadcasts, see you next season
everyone.

You mean the detractors whose "opinion" is based on the ISU rules??

Maybe it's my newsreader, but I don't see any posts saying that USA
gets two skaters to the 2013 Ithinkalthistoryisreal Skating Union
worlds. (Two to INTERNATIONAL Skating Union worlds, yes, but if you
would stop saying "ISU", you wouldn't have this problem.)
