In Arizona, they, (the 65%) have one thing in their favor, the Mexicans
can't retaliate by boycotting lawn maintenance, nothing but sand and
brutal heat there. Here in Kalifornia, we'd be screwed.
Whenever I'm at Del Taco I see mostly white folks in line so maybe
McDonald's will latch onto and promote your idea.

Here's my take, it (migration) comes under the heading of either "accept
what is" or the serenity prayer. I'm partial to the former (more every
day). I think the best word to describe how it is that we find
ourselves in our current situation is /inevitably/. It comes with our
type of democracy and capitalism. Who profited from letting the
operation Wetback die?
It is also capitalism that is much of the driving force in the debate,
(infotainment fanning the flames of resentment). But that is not the
real force behind Arizona's new law. People winced when the Nazi
analogies were made but it turns out......
P.S. Not to nitpick but its Mexicans, not Spanish we're talking about in

No argument on migration--it IS part of human history. However there is

Don't know that I've ever seen a Spanish business. Probably some
Spanish restaurants in New York City. There's a Portugese restaurant
in Fitchburg. When I get to the southwest, I usually eat Mexican
food. Central Mexican, though I like fish taco's as well. It's the
only ethnic cuisine I could eat every day and not get tired of. They
don't do it so well in Massachusetts. Taco Bell is the best. Can you
believe that? People here use the words "GORMET" and "HOT DOG" in the
same sentence, and they're not joking. The "hispanics" here are
usually Dominican or from Puerto Rico, and that is definately
different food.
