First of all, everyone around here knows that OVW is a WWF feeder fed, they
couldn't brought the guy up easily. He had an in-ring history with the
'taker, and they even had a match at an OVW event coming up. He would've
served as a great opponent, size-wise, power-wise, and gimmick-wise. But
here's what really makes me think it -- the motive that DDP is using now,
that he wanted to get famous -- Leviathan could've easily use that. The guy
was a virtual unknown and could've jumped right into the WWF with a big feud
like that. They probably had the motive in mind for a while, ever since
'taker brought it up in the Austin feud, and had Leviathan in mind.

In my opinion, it's a shame he got hurt, because I really do think he was
intended to be revealed as the stalker, and I think he would've done a much
better job than DDP has and will. Anyone thoughts on this?

No, it seems pretty clear now that it was always going to be a WCW guy. This
is exactly what the Invasion angle needed. Otherwise, how were you going to
bring the WWF faces into it?

No. I would say it's fairly obvious it was never meant to be Leviathan.

Which makes up a 'small' portion of the WWF audience leaving most in the
dark.

What was this 'in ring' history?

So could anyone - he's just paraphrasing taker's little catchphrase.

I don't think he was ever in mind - one person I know who was considered
before deciding on DDP, was HBK.

Well, they had a match in OVW before, as did he and Kane.

So a few hundred fans maximum know about the 'history' - hardly something to
base the biggest storyline in WWF on! Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see
him in the WWF but he's unknown to 99.99% of fans and too big a risk to use
in a storyline like this.

Add to that the fact that as far as I know the Undertaker has never fought
Leviathan, the only connection is Kane is the only person to beat him.

Add to that the fact that Leviathans gimmick is similar to Kanes old one in that
he doesn't speak, at all. What a fantastic stalker he would have made. His
incredibly annoying, short, fat, not terribly attractive manager does the mic
work for him and I just don't see her in the WWF somehow.

Add to that the fact that Leviathan already has a very similar storyline running
to lead up to the main event at OVWs next PPV The Last Dance..

which just happens to be next week. Does anyone think the WWF would give away
the Stalker v Taker fight as OVWs main event?

Leviathan was never in the running, give it up people.

I thought HBK was pretty much over and done with in respect to WWF
after some backstage stuff a short while ago... something about a
bad attitude??? Dont remember exactly.
But anyway... I'm pretty sure it was going to be a WCW angle, and
was hoping for Scott Steiner.
DDP is good too though:)

Apparently he was considered too much of a risk because of his attitude and
health.

If someone (( anyone of you guys or girls for that matter )) could plz send me
a pic of this Leviathan guy, I think that I could provide some insight as to
the argument at hand. Thank you.

I went to the website you posted and saw a pic of the guy (( mind you the
following is only my first impression of him from a pic )) He looks like a
cross between Goldberg and the final guy you face in Killer Instinct as far as
his meant to be the stalker, well I do not know about that but I would use him
against Goldberg himself (( with the winner taking the 'Goldberg breathing in
that smoke entrace ' ))
