Sometimes you may want to follow-up or reply anonymously to an article
you are reading in slrn. Here's how.

Put the code from [1] in "$HOME/.slrn/mixmaster.sl". Put the code
from [2] in "$HOME/.slrnrc".

[1]
define mixmaster_ff ()
{
pipe_article("mixmaster -ff");
}

definekey ("mixmaster_ff", "&", "article");

define mixmaster_fr ()
{
pipe_article("mixmaster -fr");
}

definekey ("mixmaster_fr", "\e&", "article");

[2]
interpret ".slrn/mixmaster.sl"

Now when you're in article mode, you can hit & to make an anonymous
follow-up or ESC-& to make an anonymous mail reply.

HTH!

Sure. If you want to find your mails silently dumped
by mailfilters just like your articles are left on
the server on the Usenet when you post through an
'anonymous' mail2news gateway. (as in this case)

May as well have "Schitt-For-Brains-Loser" tatooed
on your forehead in either case.

The only 'people' other than your own sockpuppets
that will read your drivel are other trolls, and
they'll read anything and post drivel in response.

If that's what turns your crank.

No. I don't care who you are or where you live.
I've already seen an ignorant pile of lard sitting
in front of a computer and polluting the Internet.

Once was enough.

Cowardly juvenile delinquents playing with their
mommy's computers get to wear gags when they are
in my newsreader and they aren't allowed to even
get their headers into my mailboxes.

No. The CIA isn't looking for you, Junior, although
I am sure that you want us to believe that. No one
that can do anthing but run their punk mouth on
the Internet even reads your posts.

If the CIA was looking for you, you'd be had.

You aren't a threat to anyone. You probably can't
even find your own butthole without a map.

Thread killed.

See what I mean about 'clueless'.

This CLOWN gives orders that he couldn't possibly enforce,
and honestly expects people to take him seriously.

I do what I want, Junior. And no snot-nosed, spineless,
motormouthed punk who doesn't even have the balls to
post under the same alias every time or use his real
return address when he mails someone has a single chance
of being able to even attempt to stop me.

You can't even get an article into my newsreader or a
mail into my mailboxes.

You are utterly impotent to do anything but run your mouth for
the enjoyment of snivelling losers that can't, like you, do
anything but sit on their fat butts and schitt on the Internet
who are the only people that even read your digital diarrhea.

None of you are allowed to send articles to my newsreader or
mail to my mailboxes.

But you can, if you wish, email me, and I'll send you directions
to my place.

ROTFLMAO

But I will have to wait until your balls descend into your
scrotum, won't I? If that ever happens.

Ebonics, just what the group needs.

Really?

Then please explain

NNTP-Posting-Host: 212.171.49.198
NNTP-Posting-Host2: 87.6.127.64

in your headers.

I was under the impression that anonymous re-mailers strip out all
identifying headers when the message is sent. Doing a lookup of those
IP addresses, it appears they come from a pool of IP's originating from
Telecom Italia. That's *partial* anonymity perhaps, but not full.

So, exactly how anonymous are these messages? How secure are you in
your presumed belief that these messages cannot be traced back to their
source, by someone with adequate resources to do so?

Remailer operators don't need anonymity :-D

I wouldn't worry about it. It seems Winstonsmith (italian) posts trough
the news server of Amigo (british). This can all be derived from the
headers and some with knowledge about remailers.

hth,

You're running slrn in a console or xterm. Just quit slrn and use the
mixmaster command with no arguments to compose your mail or news
message.

Copied from the headers for everyone else:

X-Alan-Connor-0: I said: "Just ignore this. You're not interested."
X-Alan-Connor-1: I was really trying to save you trouble. I knew you
X-Alan-Connor-2: wouldn't be interested in my post, so I didn't want you to waste your
X-Alan-Connor-3: time replying to it. No offence intended!
