Radio ratings fall for Limbaugh, Hannity

WABC's top talkers see big declines.

By Matthew Flamm

Right-wing talk radio may have worn out its welcome, at least for now.
The just-out April Arbitron report shows Rush Limbaugh and Sean
Hannity葉he biggest conservative talkers in New York耀tuck in a
ratings slump that started back in November, right after the 2010
midterm elections.

Top-rated Mr. Limbaugh has taken the biggest fall.

He had a 3.0 share of listeners for his WABC-AM midday slot預 33%
slide from October and from last April.

Mr. Hannity痴 afternoon show was down 28% from its fall peak, as was
fellow conservative Mark Levin痴 evening program.

Numbers for the station痴 more centrist personalities優on Imus in the
morning and John Batchelor at night謡ere both up from a year earlier.

Yes, political talk shows numbers always go down in off political
years.

Add to the mix that New York has a new conservative talk station, (The
Apple AM 940) some of Rush's audience drifted over to Dennis Miller
and Dennis Prager while some of Hannity's listerns prefer Michal
Medved.

You want to pretend that more conservative talk hosts doing well in
New York is a disaster? Go right ahead.
