their rather thinly-disguised worry about the potential candidacy of
Alaska's enormously popular former governor Sarah Palin.
Recall, the left similarly wailed about the potential for the
"catastrophe" which would be a president Ronald Reagan, enormously
popular former governor of California. It would be World War III.
Nuclear armageddon! Dogs and cats living together!!
Turned out to be, the finest president in recent history. Ended the
cold war, and rescued our cratering economy from the failed
inflationary policies of Jimmy "attack rabbit" Carter. Failed peanut
farmer.
Let's all choose our favorite seats in the bleachers, to watch the
same leftists - rather older now, pony tails on their bearded marxist,
ever more balding heads - freak out about Sarah Palin.
