Saw an obit somewhere over the last week. Thought it was a British
newspaper, but can't find it.

Luther Dixon

DIXON Luther Dixon was born August 7, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL to the
late Willie and Dicy Dixon. He attended the public schools of Duval
County. At an early age his family relocated to Brooklyn, NY and he
moved to Canada. Shortly after, he returned to New York and began his
music career. He was Vice President of Septor Record Company, New York
City. Luther penned many songs for B. B. Kings 50th Album, 'Six Silver
Strings', and was a renown figure in the music industry both
nationally and internationally. A Celebration of Life will be held
10:00 a.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 in SNELLA'S Place, 17 Allen
Circle, Statesboro, GA following these services the unveiling of his
monument will be held in Kelsey Cemetery, Millen, GA. Luther was
predeceased by a sister, Jeanette, Wiltshire. He leaves to cherish
memories his siblings, Sarah Harrison, Barney Williams, Vannie Gill
Edwards, Albert Morgan, Jr., Delores Bilbo, Sylvia Washington and
Patricia Curtis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
