The Associated Press has reported the death of Calvin Wilson McGee on
1 February 2004. McGee, 27, died of an aneurysm in his cell on death
row in Livingston, Texas.

On 1 October 1997, McGee, then 20, and several friends approached Irma
Malloy, 61, in a fast-food drive-through. According to trial
testimony, the men were looking for a car to steal. They ordered
Malloy out of her car. When Malloy screamed, McGee shot her with a
.38-caliber pistol he had stolen a few hours earlier.
