Correction accepted. Thank you!

Okay.... Let's throw a new twist into this discussion (which has truly
been gone over many times):
There's a liitle break in Ed's line about making things out of play-doh.
Specifically, he sings:
"... little houses little farms little...... accessories for your mom..."
To my ear this sounds artificial.... like either a) his rhythm was off and
the engineer did some cut and paste to correct for him.... or b) he
originally sang something there.. something that was edited out later.
Personally, I prefer Hypothesis B. What's left to figure out, though, is
what exactly might he have sung at that point. Perhaps he describes the
accessories in a bit more detail? Any ideas? What could he have said that
might have got "bleeped?"
The only thing I can remember making from play-doh is snakes (they are so
easy!), but I can't picture my mother using them as any sort of....
accessory. <shudder>

This question has been asked and answered many times, but you indeed have
put a new twist on an answer with a not-unlikely scenario, but I'm afraid
that such was not the case.
I'm not the expert, but defer to one of the creative hands on the wheel at
the recording sessions of Gordon. At one point in the history of the
call-and -response on this particular subject; none other than Gordon
producer Michael Phillip Wojewoda himself answered the question with a
recollection of "the event" as it happened. I include the answer in its
entirety and without the permission of Mr. Wojewoda, though it was
originally posted in this forum so I don't think he would mind (I hope).
Mr. Wojewoda's post was in response to a FAQ posted and also contains
interesting insight into the intro to the song. Not only does the post
answer the age old question, but provides a glance behind the curtain at
the insane genius that endears us to the 'Ladies.
I hope this educates, entertains, and enlightens. Enjoy.

Hello Vlad;
Although you got most of the information about BNL correct in your FAQ,
there were
a couple of errors I simply had to respond to.<g>
My insight into these corrections come from having produced the CDs.

The quote of Eds is correct, better still he did that in one pass and it
is totally
freestyling.
But, the sung vocals overtop are not just Andrew but both Andrew and
Jimmy.The line
they sing is....
"Drive you to dances, pay for your night school."

And this one!
Nigel Best is not singing on the intro of ENID. Those vocals are ME!!!
While I was recording the horns for ENID, ED and STEVE where in the MIDI
room
programming the intro. It was decided that I would put on an english
accent and do
the singing. Apparently the band was ROTFL.
Then we attached the output of the tape deck to a crystal radio science
kit I had
found at a junk shop that month and broadcast the song to a nearby clock
radio. We
then put a microphone on the clock radio and dialed in the intro. I know
that
sounds like a lot of effort but.....
True story.
