Tomorrow my ISP is going to stop providing Usenet service, and I don't
use Usenet enough to justify subscribing to another provider, so I
thought I'd post a farewell here.

Have met some fine folks and some serious jerks on this group over the
years, had some illuminating conversations and some very insulting ones,
so I leave with mixed feelings.
The fact that a torrent of rude and obscene posts has just littered up
the place makes the farewell timely perhaps.
