CUSTER - Two Hells Angels members were arrested Wednesday morning for
the Tuesday, Aug. 8, shooting of six men - who were Outlaws members or
affiliates - in the parking lot of the Legion Lake Resort in Custer
State Park. The shooting occurred between 4:30 and 5 p.m.

The men arrested are Chad John Wilson, 30 of Linwood, Wash., a suburb
of Seattle, and John James Midmore, 32 of Valparaiso, Ind. They are
being held in the Pennington County Jail. Both men have been charged
with five counts of attempted murder. An initial court appearance has
not been set.

Officials apprehended the Hells Angels members in Custer State Park
after their vehicle, a white Ford 350 pickup, was connected with the
shooting. The cause of the shooting has not been explained. According
to Sarah Rabern, a spokeswoman for the South Dakota Attorney General,
information as to whether or not it was a drive-by shooting is not
being released at this time. She said currently there are no other
suspects.

Two of the victims are at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in critical
condition. One was flown to Sioux Falls and is in stable condition at
a hospital there and the remaining three were treated and released
last night from Custer Regional Hospital. No other information about
the victims, including their names, is being released. No other people
were injured.

The Outlaws and the Hells Angels are rival "1%" motorcycle gangs. The
1 percent means the gangs are part of the 1 percent of all motorcycle
gangs that do not conform to society or its laws.

The last major violence involving motorcycle gangs during the Sturgis
rally was in 1990, when an Outlaws gang member was shot by a rival
Sons of Silence member in a bar brawl in which two other Sons of
Silence members were stabbed.

Complaint names injured Outlaws gang members

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- The legal complaint against two reported
Hells Angels members names the five rival Outlaws injured in a gunfight.

Chad John Wilson, 30, of Linwood, Wash., and John James Midmore, 32,
of Valparaiso, Ind., are each charged with five counts of attempted
first-degree murder for a shooting Tuesday at Custer State Park.

The maximum punishment for each count, if convicted, is 25 years in
prison.

Wilson is a confirmed Hells Angel member and Midmore has been
identified as a prospect with the gang, authorities said.

According to the complaint filed late Wednesday and released Thursday,
the five Outlaws gang members who were shot are: Thomas Hass, Al
Mathews, Danny Neace, Claudia Wables and Susan Evans-Martin.

Their addresses were not included in the document.

Two of the victims were in critical condition at Rapid City Regional
Hospital, and a third was flown to a Sioux Falls hospital and was
listed in stable condition, said Sara Rabern of the South Dakota
Attorney General's office.

Another woman, Crystal Schuster, suffered injuries not related to a
gunshot.

Wilson and Midmore are being held in the Rapid City Jail and are
scheduled to make their initial court appearance Thursday morning in
Rapid City.

The shootings took place near Legion Lake Resort as the Outlaws were
gathering nearby for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Victims and witnesses told investigators that a white quad-cab pickup
truck stopped near the group Tuesday afternoon and a man got out and
started firing a handgun, DCI special agent John Griswold wrote in a
probable cause affidavit.

The victims and witnesses reported that someone returned fire on the
truck as it sped away. About 16 spent cartridges were found at the
scene, according to the affidavit.

A white truck was found later Tuesday evening with an empty .40
caliber magazine on the truck's floorboard, Griswold wrote.

The agent wrote that Wilson and Midmore requested attorneys during an
attempt to interview them, and he then arrested the pair.

The shooting raised anxieties in the law enforcement community, which
already knew that the Outlaws planned to amass hundreds of members at
a rented campground in the southern Black Hills, said Sturgis Police
Chief Jim Bush.

Officers were prepared to respond to gang violence, but retaliation is
likely, he said.

The last major violence involving motorcycle gangs during the Sturgis
rally was in 1990, when an Outlaws gang member was shot by a rival
Sons of Silence member in a bar brawl in which two other Sons of
Silence members were stabbed.

Shots Fired Both Ways In Biker Gang Shootout

New information on the biker gang shootings in Custer State Park:
shots were fired both ways.

The Custer County Sheriff tells KELOLAND news the Outlaws gang members
who were hurt also had handguns and fired back at the Hell's Angels
members who shot at them.

The two suspects, Chad Wilson of Washington and John Midmore of
Indiana, will be in court tomorrow on attempted murder charges.

And the men were caught after flagging down the wrong vehicle.

After Wilson and Midmore took off from the scene of the shooting,
their white Ford pickup got stuck on a back road. An off-duty park
ranger recognized the truck and waited for the men out on the highway
in his personal vehicle. The men flagged him down to get a ride, but
he had already called for backup.

The men gave up without a fight, but bikers at the rally are worried
about what could happen next.

In the sixteen years Bruce Petterson has attended Sturgis, he says
while the crowds of bikers are as big as ever, there seems to be fewer
biker gang members in attendance.

“You see 2-3 people with colors on their back, but I don't think the
presence has been really what it was in 1990,” he says.

He and his wife stopped by the scene of yesterday's shoot-out, which
gave them a grisly reminder that the gangs are still here and that can
lead to violence.

“Historically there's a friction between the different groups and it's
just going to boil over at some point and it just happened here I
guess,” Petterson says.

The violence didn't stop other bikers from visiting the Legion Lake
Resort where the shootout happened.

But Petterson fears the violence among these motorcycle gangs is far
from over.

“I think that's the nature of those people,” he says. “There will be
retaliation.”

A judge will set bond for the two suspects at Thursday's court
hearing. As for the victims, two are still in critical condition at
Rapid City Regional Hospital. Another is in stable condition in Sioux
Falls. Three have been released.

Whatsamatter, turdburgler, is your one remaining tooth aggravating you
today?

Get up on the wrong side of the trough at the crack of noon again today?

Your momma won't give you a gorilla cookie that she made with that
mold she took of your face last week?

Your nose itches but its too far up your ass to scratch it with your
finger?

You lost at the circle jerk game with your butt biddies so next time
the jerk's on you? Which isn't really a problem, but, due to anxiety
you don't think (no oxymoron there!) you can wait that long?

In other words flipper-boy, eat shit, but mostly, kill yourself to
ease the pollution on the planet. And that's giving you credit for
being a male of the species because even a dumb cunt knows when to use
the word "to" or the word "too". Next years perhaps you can learn what
the word "two" means. One homonym at a time.

Here is the dipshit's sentence to which I'm referring:

"To bad you weren't in the line of fire."
