Brother's Keeper - Has had free upgrades since at least 1994
(downloadable upgrades to registered users). $20 upgrade for version
5.2G. There is a version 6.0 in the works which will be an upgrade for
about $15.

Interesting history, Donna! Don't forget the jump from FTM DOS 2.0 to FTW
3.0 and all the upgrades from 3.0 to 4.0. And they actually ended up
costing closer to $25 with the shipping and handling added in. Oh, yes,then
there was the $5 for s/h to fix a major bug back in the 3.x series. The
cost of the upgrades (and yes, I *know* I didn't need to get all of them,
but the hype just made me feel I couldn't miss one of them without being
left behind) is one major reason I switched to Legacy - along with the
wonderful tech support and great features of Legacy 8-)

I mainly concentrated on 1997 and later because that is the time period
for which I have the most reliable data. I also use Legacy and like it
a lot. TMG is great as well and PAF is clearly the "best buy" and is a
very find program.
